Navy Lodge Housing Military Families Stuck in Transition

Navy Lodge facilities around the world are housing families impacted by the Navy’s restriction of movement policy. About 200 rooms are currently occupied in 23 facilities, according to a DOD news story.
The lodges, which are operated by the Navy Exchange Service Command, are typically used by service members and military families on official travel. The guests staying there now have recently experienced a permanent change of station move or are in pre-deployment or post-deployment status.
“The Navy Lodge mission remains critical during times of crisis, and we will remain a worldwide safe location for our Navy’s warfighters and their families,” said Chris Settelen, vice president of the program.
