Pentagon Orders Employees Stop Using Certain Versions of Zoom

Citing security issues with the videoconferencing platform Zoom, a Department of Defense spokesperson has said that “users may not host meetings using Zoom’s free or commercial offerings,” reports VOA.

Additional guidance says that Zoom for Government is permissible when the subject matter is “publicly releasable DOD information not categorized as ‘For Official Use Only.’” Government officials say that not only an information be at risk during live meetings, but can also can compromise data on government computers.
