Service Members Would Be Among First to Get COVID-19 Vaccine

Service members would be among the earliest Americans to get a COVID-19 vaccine if one is determined to be effective and safe, administration officials told reporters this week.
“Our role, as the federal government, is to ensure anyone who is vulnerable, cannot afford it and desire it can get it, those critical to infrastructure get it, essential workers get it, and those associated with national defense get it. That’s our obligation,” an unnamed federal official said, according to Military.com.
DOD is working with other federal agencies in the search for a vaccine, which has been named Operation Warp Speed.
